So, lately it seems that popular culture has finally come around to worshiping Debbie Harry. And, you know, who can blame them? Debbie Harry was and is a bad ass and one of the main reasons that Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Karen O and the like even exist. She’s also who lesser talents like Avril Lavigne and Ashlee Simpson (god, i hate them) are mimicking without even knowing it–I guarantee that if they even know who Debbie Harry is, they refer to her as “Blondie.” Anyway, here are some recent, not-too subtle attempts to pay homage to the godmother of punk:
