The richness embodied in these suits makes me feel like I’ve just left an interview and definitely landed the job! My mother always told me “Every woman needs a good suit” and, well, while there may not be many occasions on which I will need one, I will remember this rule: a tonal suit and blouse just screams “don’t mess with me“!
The suit selections above( from left to right) Jil Sander, Hugo Boss, and Burberry. are just some of my choices as “influential” pieces you can buy. But if you’re like me and can’t afford to spend the cheese before making the bread, try these more affordable option:

2. Grey flared Herringbone Trouser Pants- Topshop .com
3. Studded sheer Blouse- Topshop .com
4. razor back Vest- Express.com
5. Skinny Belt- Urban Outfitters.com
6. Dolce Vita Heels-Urban Outfitters.com
Your suit can even double as a good weekend shopping outfit by pairing it with a V-neck Tee from American Apperal.com, Some Striped Chucks and some fun neon sunglasses, both from urban outfitters.com.
One more tip: Think less Ellen Degeneres and more Annie Hall!

I bring this up because I know lots of women are dealing with this crucial issue. We need affordable but not cheapo skinny jeans, which will spend their existence tucked into boots. I vote for these Levis Hi-Rise Skinny Jeans, which are a cool $78 (not so bad). They’re part of their eco line, which means they’re organic or something, and have green stitching.
It’s hard to find a high-waisted jean that isn’t super costly, so I’m into these. They look like they’ll just slip right into boots with no problem.
Plus, they’re Levis, so no matter who you are, you’re ass will look hot! Finally, they did something right.
