I know, I know…. Corny…. But I couldn’t help myself. These Gladiator sandals from Bakers are actually really good and they’ve got me all giddy on the inside! I know what you’re thinking… Bakers? I thought the same thing when I walked into the store known more for their synthetic patent leather pumps and Baby Phat boots and surprisinlgy stumbled upon these little gems. Incase you’ve been in a coma or, worse, you don’t read Threadtrend, then you don’t know that the Spring 08′ runways were filled with Gladiator sandals. At $49.99 these are worth buying now and storing til’ the warmer months! While the photo does them no justice, they’re made of soft pebbled leather, fit like a glove, and look much more expensive than $50 bucks in person. Now if only I could decide on which color to buy; Black, Brown, White, or all 3!

I got these hot platforms while in shopping on San Francisco’s Haight St. last week. If you didn’t know, the once happening hippie district is now a shopping mecca, and I didn’t see anyone with flowers in their hair.
I did see lots of sales at the many shoe and clothing stores, though, where there is plenty of good stuff to satisfy one’s material desires.
These MIA shoes were scored for only $40, and I’ve seen them online for even less. I don’t know much about this brand, but I can assure you that these are made of leather and wood. They’re also tasty-tasty, and I can’t speak for you, but I always require a pair of platform shoes for Spring and Summer.
Thinking ahead.
