Hey Threadtrenders, sorry we were so late on this. Why didn’t anyone tell us the Posh ads for Marc Jacobs were out? You know we’re obsessed! Geez.Anyway, our verdict is that this is pretty funny, and maybe we were wrong about Victoria not having a sense of humor.

Hmmm…no, we’re not quite ready to let that go yet, though.

Really, the only thing I hate about this picture is the shoes. They’re so stupid. I really didn’t think that bad gimmick would make it past the runway.

I was wrong. Don’t buy them.

**Update –Here are two more:

Wow. I’m shocked. These are rather witty.

Teen Scene: Saleisha’s ‘Seventeen’ cover and Good styling in ‘Teen Vogue’

OK… Here goes… So, as promised, Saleisha got her Seventeen cover and a 5 page fashion spread published in the February 2008 issue. There are mixed opinions all over the internet (including Threadtrend readers) about how she looks and how the competition was robbed. My personal opinion? Who cares?! I mean have you ever asked yourself “Out of the 1.7 billion girls who auditioned how in the hell did these 13 mediocre city college students make it to TV? It’s not a real competition people!!

Anyway, I digress…. The hair wig still sucks, yes she’s 110% commercial, and who chose the cover outfit? But you know what, she won and, well, we’ll see how her “career” goes…. Phew, glad that’s over!

Secondly, the adorable fashion spread in Teen Vogue’s February 2008 issue serves to teach teens (and grown ass women) how to accessorize and layer using a simple primary color pallette. I mean really, when’s the last time you’ve seen a 15 year old dressed like this? I’ve been having a hard time accessorizing in the morning and I’m 25 years old!

Lots of colorful beaded necklaces, bracelets, and fabulous shoes from Stella McCartney’s Spring 08′ line adorn the pre-Spring looks like high-waisted shorts, short-sleeve button ups, graphic 3/4 sleeve belted trenches, bright anoraks, and slim cardigans. Again, it’s all about the mixture of simple pieces with detailed graphic/ethnic prints and eye-popping accessories that tie the looks right in. I love it and I can’t wait for Spring!!

So, I’d heard that Finnish textile house Marimekko was teaming up with H&M for a Spring/Summer ‘08 collection, but I hadn’t seen this awesome artwork until today. It reminds me of the 70s paper dolls my aunt used to let me play with when I was a kid. Or those old Barbie fashion plates.

It’s all very exciting since Marimekko is pulling from their archives from the 1950s, 60s and 70s for the line, which will consist of 50 pieces for women and kids.

H&M’s head of design, Margareta van den Bosch, had this to say about the collaboration:

Our design team has long admired Marimekko’s vivid patterns and colours. When our designers came up with the idea of creating a collection with Marimekko patterns, it felt very natural and timely. The summer collection 2008 will be joyfully fresh like a vitamin injection.
