Philip-Lorca diCorcia at LACMA

Philip-Lorca diCorcia is considered “one of the most influential photographers of all time.” A retrospective of his work just opened at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, featuring selections from the last 20 years as well as a new series called “Thousand” (a collection of 1,000 polaroids of his family and his shoots for W magazine).

DiCorcia is known for his street scene photo productions, where he cast his subjects, which include homeless people, hustlers, etc. The series included in the retrospective are Hustlers, Streetwork, Heads, and Lucky 13. It runs until September 14.
