As much as she’s a fashion icon, Vivienne Westwood is also the Grandmother of Punk, no? So, it’s pretty fitting that she would sign her name to a new compilation album featuring an eclectic mix of music. The album, dubbed Catwalk Breakdown, features everyone from Billy Fury and New York Dolls to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra not to mention Mae West doing “Great Balls of Fire.“ Nothing wrong with that.
“These are some of the pieces that I’ve relied on over all these years – my classics. They’ve never failed me,” says Westwood. The album is set for release September 15.
