3.1 Phillip Lim
This season shoes were heavy on detail, height, opulence or all of those things at once. I like a grandiose shoe, so it worked for me. But some of these fuckers do look dangerous and painful, but maybe worth the risk?

They all look dangerous. Perfect for the runway but kind of fashion victimish on the street. I love the bootie look and love the decorations. The soles look a bit contrived, though. A little over designed. Maybe the shoe people are just trying to catch up. I’m not saying Pappagallo. Don’t misunderstand. It’s just that they, somehow, remind me of 80′s band hair.

Comment by Mark Sunday, November 23, 2008 @ 01:08 kAs a guy I really like the recent hidden platform shoes and their early fifties silhouette; they’re feminine but still substantial and dangerous with their piercing stiletto heels. The stiff toes with their hard platforms are capable of putting any guy in his place with a well aimed kick. So the Philip Lim corsage multi strapped Mary Janes do it for me, – powerful shoes, – quite a turn on!
