My obsession for the week has to be The Whispertown 2000′s new album Swim, which is out today on Acony Records. The band hails from Los Angeles and has built a devout following here. With this album, they appear poised to reach the next level with their very charming indie folk thats tinged with a little blues.
The new album features guests Jenny Lewis and Gillian Welch. This is an album you will most likely treasure and a band you will want to keep all to yourself. They play a free instore / record release show at Amoeba today.
Here is a song from the album: Ebb and Flow

Do you know which song(s) Jenny Lewis is on? I’ve been listening to this for weeks (LOVE!), and I had no idea. I know she sings in a couple songs from their first album, though.
