I think a lot of people who shop at Barneys also secretly love Target (who doesn’t?), and tomorrow those shoppers can hit both stores at once. Sort of.
Tomorrow until Sunday in NYC and then next weekend in LA , Barneys will be featuring Target’s latest Go International collaboration with Rogan. You can only buy 3 pieces, but the line will be available in Target stores later this year.
I’ll be in Vancouver when the line is in LA, and I’m sad that I’m going to miss my opportunity to buy something for $15 at Barneys.

The new Go International stuff is out at Target, and at first glance, some of the stuff is really cute. I’m particularly taken with this tank dress. That hem is kind of fun, and I’m a sucker for brights.
It’s only $22, and if you can’t do yellow, they have it in red, too.

I spent some time shopping for Spring this weekend. My favorite purchase was these Jeffrey Campbell wedges in electric blue. They’re super-comfortable and cushy, which means they can be an all-the-time shoe, and well, the color. I had to get them. They were under $100.
Sorry, but I can’t find them online, so no link.

The Gap is doing that shirt thing again–you know, where they get the big designers to put their spin on the classic white shirt, and then get big-time models to pose in them. Yeah, that thing. Anyway, this year the list of designers includes 3.1 Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, Threeasfour and more.
Most of them didn’t look that exciting, but leave it to Philip Lim:

I want the one Irina is wearing.
This year’s Gap Designs Collection debuts April 15, and they cost less than $100 as far as I can tell. Good luck.

I know times are tough, but does Walgreens really need to sell clothes? Apparently, the drug store giant is about to unleash a line called Casual Gear on the public. The collection, if you want to call it that, consists of sweats, quilted vests, hoodies and yoga pants among other things.
Of course, the prices are sweat-shop good, with everything going from $7 to $15, but still. Oh, and here’s kicker: the release date is April 1.
Honesty, who releases something on April Fool’s?

I saw these on another site, and I had to share. They’re In God We Trust, and they are so, so, so delicious. Plus they’re only $20 at Refinery 29. I would seriously feel like Lolita in these as I would pair them with red or yellow flats and a black and white striped tee.
I’d have to steer clear of the Humbert Humberts of the world.

They only have small and extra small, so only skinny jerks need apply.

Finally, the Jovovich-Hawk line is up for grabs! I like a lot of the stuff from this Go International collection for Target, but this chiffon dress is what I’ve been waiting for. It’s my best cut–high-waisted and full-skirted. Plus it’s only $39.99, which is good, because I know red wine will destroy it an some point.
I’ve seen a lot of white babydoll–or tea dresses as they are now calling them– lately, but they’re all so ridiculously expensive, and I cannot abide by an expensive white dress. Too risky.
I ordered it yesterday. My intent is to wear it with some brown vintage boots i have until it gets too hot, then I’ll switch to my black vialis pumps when it’s hot enough to go bare-legged. Then in the summer, I’ll throw on my MIA platforms.
I love it when a plan/wardrobe comes together.

Amazingly enough, this real life cute dress is from the GAP. It’s part of the European Collection–ooh, so fancy. If this were true white, I’d snatch it up in a second, but unfortunately cream, or “sugar cookie white” as they put it, makes me look sick. Literally.
They’re selling like hotcakes, so if you want one, I hope you’re not a size 6.

Good old American chain Old Navy is trying to shake their image as a cheap mass market producer of cotton goods discount retailer with new logo and Spring 2008 marketing geared towards women in their 20’s as reported by Advertising Age. This is in response to a loss of market share to competitors like Target. I guess they want you to think less K-Mart and more…. Macys? But I say if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck….
But when I saw this somewhat cute photo from their “Urban Explorer” collection I thought maybe I should stop being so judgemental and at least take a look at the website. I mean Lord knows how long its been since I’ve done that. So I took a look and as I expected, lots of cotton, khaki, and collared tops with pockets… yawn.
I guess I could possibly run the following pieces if I visited a friend out of town and ran out of clothes. Then they’d get me at the register, as they always do, with the $2.50 flip flops in, like, 3 colors because I always need more of those right?

*Graphic tank- $19.50
*Elephant print tank- $14.50
* Clutch- $19.50
